Police vehicle torched in Sylhet

SYLHET: Islami Chhatra Shibir activists torched a police van near Shibganj area of the city on Tuesday noon.

Witnesses said Shibir activists hurled over 10 cocktails in Shibganj area and police rushed to the spot after the incident.

Meanwhile, a group of Shibir activists torched the empty police van in the area around 12:30pm.

Additional Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police SM Rokon Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
