DHAKA: Indian foreign ministry had given a statement in response to questions of Bangladesh, including the statement of the opposition Leader Khaleda Zia.
The official Spokesman of the Ministry of External Affairs of India made the disclosure on Friday.
In the statement the ministry said, “We proceed with our relations with Bangladesh on the basis of the principles of mutual respect, mutual benefit, non-interference and respect for each other`s sovereignty.”
“Our relations with Bangladesh are based on broad and inclusive. India has always and it will always show respect the wishes of the people of Bangladesh. It is for the people of Bangladesh to decide their future. We have deep respect for their wisdom and achievements.
The statement added, “We are confident that as a democracy the people of Bangladesh will resolve their differences through dialogue and peaceful means, in an atmosphere free of violence.”
“That brings me to the last question - the execution of the death sentence of Abdul Qauder Mollah, Assistant Secretary General of the Jamaat-e-Islami, is an outcome of the internal udicial processes and laws of Bangladesh.” It added.
