DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday urged the government to quit for the sake of nation and its people.
“Quit soon for the sake of nation without wasting a single moment and hand over power to non-partisan government and arrange 10th parliamentary elections with the participation of all the political parties,” he said.
The spokesperson for the party came up with the reiteration in a statement sent to media in the afternoon.
Mirza Fakhrul also said the ruling Awami League leaders and ministers are making confused the people saying “they are talking on the 11th parliamentary polls not the 10th”.
The people of the country have already rejected the 10th parliamentary polls as there was no competitor in some 154 constituencies, he added.
