CHITTAGONG: Opposition BNP Vice-chairman Abdullah Al Noman on Saturday firmly criticized Pakistan’s stand over execution of war crimes convict Jamaat leader Quader Mollah.
The BNP leader also termed the stance as wicked and out of diplomatic courtesy.
He came up with the observation while talking to banglanews on Saturday.
Noman said, “Bangladesh achieved independence by bloodshed and a brave war against Pakistan. They (Pakistan) have no right to intervene on our issue as we are sovereign country.”
Regarding Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, accused for war crimes during liberation war, he said, “BNP-Jamaat alliance is only for political stratagem and it is temporary.”
He added: “Awami League had a tie with the accused party before and we still have relations with left organizations in political ground. It doesn’t mean that all parties have same ideology.”
The senior leader of the party also urged all political parties and schools to rebuff Pakistan’s recent position and any attempt to insult countries sovereignty.
