LALMONIRHAT: Police held secretary of upazila unit Chhatra Shibir, the wing student of Jamaat-e-Isami, from Mohishkhocha bazar under Aditmari upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The arrestee was identified as Anwarul Islam Rana, 23, secretary of Aditmari upazila unit Chhatra Shibir, also student of Lamonirhat Degree College.

Confirming the matter, Aditmari Thana Officer-in-Charge Aslam Iqbal told banglanews that Rana was held at around 11:00am and accused in several cases including on charge of subversive act.
