JCD chief Abed on 5-day remand

DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Sunday placed Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) acting president Bazlul Karim Choudhury Abed on a five-day in a case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Anwar Sadat passed the order after a hearing in the case.  

Earlier in the morning, Inspector of Detective Branch of Police Sirajul Islam produced Abed before the court with a 10-day remand plea.

On Saturday, DB police nabbed him from city’s Elephant Road area with charges in connection of vandalizing and torching vehicles.
