DHAKA: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday said the government would not prevent ‘March for Democracy’ if it is nonviolent

“The government does not have any objection on BNP rally if they stage their nonviolent rally approved by the election commission,” he said.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker came up with the assertion while talking to journalists at his office.

Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia called ‘March for Democracy’ to Dhaka for Sunday to press home their demand.

The former premier came up with the plea while addressing journalists at her Gulshan party office on December 24.
