DHAKA: US ambassador to Dhaka Dan W Mozena met wife of BNP chairperson`s adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo.

Sources said that Mozena went to the residence of Mintoo, former president of FBCCI, at Gulshan Avenue on Thursday afternoon.

US ambassador talked to Nasrin Awal Mintoo, the wife of Abdul Awal Mintoo, and consoled her regarding the arrest of Mintoo.

Meanwhile, Joint Secretary General Barkatullah Bulu was present during the meeting.

Earlier on November 8, police held Abdul Awal Mintoo from in front of Khaleda’s Gulshan office.
