DHAKA: Former lawmaker of Demra area Salauddin Ahmed is likely to surrender before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Sunday in alleged connection with eight cases including murder.

Salauddin’s lawyer Abdur Razzaq confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier in November and December, he was charged in the cases of killings, torching vehicles, vandalizing filed with Jatrabari, Shahbagh, Demra and Shyampur Thanas during the countrywide blockade program enforced by BNP-led 18-party alliance.

Earlier on February 11, Salauddin got bail for eight weeks and Salahuddin is set to surrender to the court as his bail term expired Sunday.

The hearing of the cases will be held in several magistrate courts.
