FENI: BNP called half-day hartal in the Sadar upazila of the district for Thursday protesting murder of Monir Hossain, general secretary of Baligaon union Swechhasebak Dal.

District Swechhasebak Dal President Kopil Uddin Mamun declared the hartal in a rally before the Namaz-e-Janaja of Monir Hossain.

District BNP President Advocate Abu Taher, general secretary Zia Uddin Mister, Sadar upazila BNP President Advocate Syed Mizanur Rahman, general secretary Fazlur Rahman Mukul, district Jubo Dal President Gazi Habib Ullah Manik and district Chhatra Dal President Naimulla Chowdhury were among others present at the funeral.
