DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam urged the government to refrain from undemocratic practices.

He made the plea while distributing foods among destitute at capital’s Uttara on the occasion of late President Ziaur Rahman’s 33rd death anniversary on Saturday morning.

Fakhrul alleged that the incumbent government is obstructing not only BNP’s rallies and meetings but also religious functions, birth and death anniversary programmes.

Expressing hope, the senior leader of the party said government must avoid such illegal activities.
