AL not to leave power before tenure: Hanif

GAIBANDHA: Ruling Awami League Joint-General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif (AL) on Saturday said the government would not leave the power until their tenure.

The spokesperson for the party made the comment at Gaibandha Circuit House at 10:00am on Saturday while talking to the reporters.

Hanif claimed that Awami League is elected government. “BNP will have to compensate as they did not participate in the election,” he said.

The BNP chief must wait for the next election, he added.

The AL leader also alleged that BNP is trying to save war criminals by misguiding public as they established Jamaat-e-Islam.

There is no relation between AL and Jamaat-e-Islam, the AL leader commented.

AL’s central and local leaders, including Organizing Secretary Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, were present in the program.

Hanif, later, joined in a party meeting at Gaibandha Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
