Fakhrul appears before court in 2-case BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir

DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir appeared before court  on Sunday in two cases filed for creating bar to vehicle movement and panic in streets in March last year.

Fakhrul along with 20 leaders including Moudud Ahmed, Amanulla Aman, Sharafat Ali Sapu appeared before the metropolitan magistrate Tarique Mainul Islam Bhuiyan’s court at 10:00am.

The court also fixed August 10 for next hearing of the cases.

Joynul Abedin Mezbah, one of the lawyers of Fakhrul, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Among the cases, one was filed with Paltan thana and another with Shahjahanpur thana under speedy trial tribunal against 45 people including Mirza Fakhrul, Moudud Ahmed, Amanullah Aman, Mirza Abbas, Abdullah Al Noman.
