DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia Saturday demanded exemplary punishment of the persons involved with the incident of Kalshi Bihari Camp by searching through judicial probe.

She also condemned the death of 10 people and many others injured as a result of arson to the camp and “law enforcer’s opening fire and teargas shells” in the area.

In a statement on Saturday she also said, “Any type of terrorist activity is against the humanity.”

She also blamed the law enforcers and goons of “a party” for the incident saying this as a “cowardly” attack.

BNP leader also claimed that the law enforcers are currently being used as “party cadres”.

In the statement Khaleda Zia demanded exemplary punishment through judicial investigation against those who obstructed the safety of the lives of people.

She also demanded proper compensation and rehabilitation of the sufferers.
