DHAKA: BNP standard Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan categorically said dialogue would be took place only on the issue of restoration of Caretaker Government System.
Nazrul made the remarks after paying wreath on the grave of late President Zaiur Rahman in capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area at 10:30 am.
He said BNP ready for dialogue with the incumbent government. But they will hold dialogue only for the CG reinstallation. People of the country want a neutral, impartial and transparent election.
If the government doesn’t agree with the demand, public will stage tougher movement and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will lead the anti-government agitation, he added.
He also said BNP will sit for dialogue for the sake of country’s democracy and people’s interest.
Newly elected President Rafiqul Islam and General Secretary of Nationalist Railway Sramik Karmachari Dal, among others, were present.
