FROM RAJSHAHI: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia alleged that the Awami League government is plotting to stay in power forever.
She came up with the allegation while addressing a rally at Madrasa ground in Rajshahi on Monday afternoon.
Khaleda Zia said, “Government patronizing drug smuggling on borders to destroy country’s young generation who are future of the country. Government does not want them to lead.”
She alleged that Awami league government started this ill practice after the independence of the country.
Khaleda Zia took her seat at the stage of Rajshahi rally at 04:15pm.
Earlier, the rally began with recitation from Holy Quran at around 02:00pm.
Khaleda reached at the rally from Rajshahi Circuit House with party leaders and activists.
Thousands leaders and activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islam welcomed her in the entrance point of the city earlier.
With BNP joint secretary general Mizanur Rahman Minu in the chair the leaders and activists of 18-party alliance gathered the venue.
