PM seeks vote in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR: Highlighting various developmental works during the regime of the incumbent government, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday asked the people to cast vote once again for boat symbol.

The premier, also ruling Awami League president, came up with the plea while addressing a rally at Islampur municipality ground in the district on Thursday afternoon.

She said, “We have dredged the rivers to stop erosion; we have introduced rail link on the Bangabandhu Bridge and set up rail route upto Islampur from there.”

Sheikh Hasinan said: “Awami League serves farmers and labourers. We have raised the wages of labourers so that they can live well. We also have risen the age of retirement.”

She also expressed hope to carry out massive development works by winning next general elections.

In the final stage of her speech, Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep sorrows for the death of organizing secretary of Dewanganj Awami League at the rally ground.
