RAJSHAHI: At least 10 people including three cops were injured in a clash between Shibir activists and law enforcers in Ganakpara area in the city on Monday morning.
Sources said that Jamaat-Shibir activists brought out a protest rally at around 11:30am and police protest them which triggered a clash, leaving 10 injured.
Meanwhile, three police personnel became injured with the splinter of Shibir’s bomb.
Confirming the matter, Boalia Thana Officer-in-Charge Ziaur Rahman Zia told banglanews, “Shibir men were preparing to bring out a rally. Police tried to disperse them and Shibir men threw two bombs aiming police.”
Later, police fired rubber bullets, sound grenade and tear shells to bring the situation under control.
