With S Dhawan’s 119, India scored 266 after 46.1 over in response to West Indies’ 263 at Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Besides, Yuvraj Sing took responsible 55.
Earlier, host India won the toss and chose to bowl in the series-decider against the visitors.
KOA Powell scored 70, MN Samuels 71 and DM Bravo 51 not out.
