DHAKA: Nepal qualified for maiden World T20 defeating Hong Kong by 5 wickets in the quarterfinal match of ICC World T20 Qualifiers in UAE.
Chasing the 144-run victory, Nepal successfully achieved the target in the last ball. Captain Paras Khadka (46) top scored for Nepal.
Earlier, Hong Kong made 143 for 8 after being invited to bat first.
Opener Waqas Barkat (25), Mark Chapman (25), Munir Dar (20), Babar Hayat (10) and Tanwir Afzal (25) contribtued for Hong Kong.
Jeetendra Mukhiya was the peak of Nepali bowling claiming highest three wickets in his four over spell conceding 32 runs. Avinash Karna bagged two wickets and skipper Paras Khadka claimed one.
