DHAKA: The second One Day International cricket match between under-19 squads of Bangladesh and West Indies was postponed to Tuesday.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials said that the decision was made as the West Indies team were feeling insecure after cocktails blasted near hotel Agrabad on Saturday night.
The incident took place during the third phase of BNP-led 18-party called nationwide blockade programme.
BCB director Akram Khan said, “As per the untoward incident West Indies did not want to play on Sunday and we postponed the match and it will be held at the same venue on Monday around 9:30am.”
However, the match was scheduled to be held at the Zahur Islam Stadium, at Chittagong on Sunday morning.
The visiting West Indies youth team is in Bangladesh to play six ODI match series against the tigers.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh youth team is leading the series by 1-nil.
