DHAKA: The ongoing political dreadlock will not affect the upcoming Twenty-20 world cup, the first ever big event in the country.
The Chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nazmul Hasan Papon came up with the assertion at the head office of Beximco Pharmaceuticals on Monday.
He said that countdown for T-20 world cup begins and the recent political matters wouldn’t be hampered the event.
The BCB Chairman expects that the current political crises will be solved by December.
Answering another queries of journalists he said “No political party is against cricket.”
He also confirmed that he will talk to the politicians in this issue if necessitate.
However the West Indies under-19 cricket team has already departed Bangladesh as they felt lack of security.
