DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket all rounder Shakib-al-Hasan might be faced punishment as went to London to play in Caribbean Premier League without permission of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papan along with the board has dissatisfied with Sakib as he ignored the board approval.
Shakib did not take part in the practice session starts from July 1, which is the warm up for the tigers against West Indies.
Bangladesh will play two tests and three one day matches against the Caribbean team which are scheduled to be held on August-September.
Shakib asked to return Bangladesh from the BCB and he is already on the way to Bangladesh from London.
After returning home, Shakib will join in the practice session of the tigers.
Papan, at an interview with a national daily, said Shakib will have to get punish as he joined Caribbean Premier League (CPL) without ‘no objection certificate’ from the board.
He said, “We will punish Shakib not for playing in the CPL rather for his violation of the rules of an organization.”
The BCB boss told board will not compromise with any indiscipline and it is for any valuable player.
