DHAKA: Public got a chance to see the trophy of ICC World Cup-2015 on the ground floor of Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in the capital from 12:00pm to 8:00pm Friday.

The visitors also got chances of photo sessions standing by the trophy following regulations of the authority.

Three cricketers of the country Shamsur Rahman, Marshal Aiyub and Taskin Ahmed were present here at Bashundhara City.

Earlier at Gano Bhaban around 11:30 am Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina watched the trophy and talked with the International Cricket Council and Bangladesh Cricket Board officials.

Addressing to the cricketers, PM Sheikh Hasina said they should take proper preparation and play the game attentively.

Incumbent BCB president MP Nazmul Hasan Papan and former captain MP Naimur Rahman Durjoy, among others were present then.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh Cricket Team Captain Mushfiqur Rahim and acting chief executive of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nizamuddin Chowdhury participated in a photo session with the trophy.

The trophy was brought to Dhaka from Sri Lanka on Thursday afternoon as it passes through countries that will participate in the tournament to be staged in Australia and New Zealand from February 14, 2015.

This trophy is a real one not replica, BCB sources added.

However, after visiting 12 countries over four months, the trophy will arrive in Melbourne on November 6 in time for the 100 days to go celebrations, details of which will be announced in due course.
