Gayle to miss 2nd test against Bangladesh

DHAKA: West Indies’ swashbuckling opening batsman Chris Gayle will miss the 2nd Test match against Bangladesh starting Saturday at the Beausejour Cricket Ground due to personal reason.

Leon Johnson will replace him. The upcoming second Test also marks the Windies’ 500th Test.

Gayle is one of the squad's most experienced batsmen with 7,214 runs in 103 Tests.

He scored 64 and nine not out in the first Test against Bangladesh which the West Indies won by 10 wickets.
