DHAKA: World top all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will be eligible to play domestic and international cricket from Tuesday as his disciplinary suspension came to an end.
His next international assignment will be in Incheon, Korea when Bangladesh will take part in the Asian Games
As per the earlier declaration, the ban, which was imposed on Shakib on July 7, is expiring on Monday, sources told banglanews.
And, then on, he will be free to play.
However, the country’s ace is now participating in regular practices with Bangladesh ‘A’ team.
Moreover, he also took part in a preparation match for under-19 team against ‘A’ team recently.
Earlier on August 26, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) reduced Shakib’s punishment, making him eligible to play from September 15.
He was primarily suspended on July 7 for six months for ‘serious misbehavior’ but the BCB reviewed its stance after the former captain made a plea promising to mend his ways.
