DHAKA: Host Bangladesh wrapped visiting Zimbabwe at 374 in the third day afternoon in the first innings of the third and final test of Bashundhara Cement Test Series at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong Friday.
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam took the wickets of two tail enders. Shafiul Islam claimed Chakabva’s wicket breaking a resilient from the visitors.
Chakabva made a firm stand with Chigumbura at the other end to expose the tail end of the visiting side before tea.
Jubair Hosain claimed five wickets. He threw Chigumbura, 88, Sikandar Raza, 82, Zimbabwe skipper Taylor, 1, Ervine, 14, and M'shangwe, 8, out of the crease.
Shafiul took the credit of removing danger man Hamilton Masakadza, 81.
Masakadza and Raza built a 169-run partnership after the visitors began the day three at 113/1 this morning.
