DHAKA: All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has become the Man of the Series with 251 runs and 18 wickets.
Shakib Al Hasan said, “We knew that it will be hard, we knew we had to stick to our process and improve every day. We did out basics right and that was key. We never thought we would win 3-0 but we knew if we stuck to our plans and executed them, we would win some games.”
“It will lift our team now, some new guys are coming in for ODIs. We are better side in ODIs, in Tests we are improving. Five crucial games coming up. Every time we go anywhere in Bangladesh we get huge support. Hopefully they will come in large numbers for the ODIs as well,” he added.
Tigers whitewashed Zimbabwe in 3-match Test series after winning the last match by 186 runs at Chittagong.
On Sunday, Zimbabwe managed to score 262 runs on the final day of 5-day match of Bashundhara Cement test series.
Bangladesh 503 & 319/5d and Zimbabwe 374 & 262 (85.0 ov)
“It's been frustrating but you have to give credit to Bangladesh," says Brendan Taylor, "We fought really hard. Bangladesh have been professional and have made it very difficult for us to get back into the game. They had a quality spin attack and we were probably short in that department"
