DHAKA: Bangladesh is building a solid ground scoring 214 runs losing four wickets after 42 overs in the first One Day International against visiting Zimbabwe at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong Friday afternoon.

Shakib Al Hasan hit his sixth ODI century scoring exactly 100 off 95 balls with 10 fours.

Mushfiqur Rahim is playing perfectly the other end of the crease. He hit his 17th ODI fifty 52 runs off 60 balls.

Before returning to pavilion, Mominul Haque, Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque and Mahmudullah contribute 31, 5, 12 and 1 runs to the scoreboard respectively.

Tendai Chatara took two wickets while T Panyangara and J Nyumbu up one wicket each.

Earlier in the day, Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura won the toss and won the toss and elected to field first in the day/night match that kicked off at 1:30pm.

Mashrafee Mortaza will lead the Bangladesh team in the ODI series.
