DHAKA: Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club clinched King’s Cup by beating Indian team Pune FC 1-0 in final game at Changlimithang Stadium in Bhutan’s capital Thimphu on Tuesday.
Jamal’s defender Yeasin Khan scored the winning goal for the team with a brilliant header after getting Wedson Anselme’s corner in the 25th minute of the match.
However, the Bangladeshi team being down to ten men in the extra time as defensive midfielder Jamal Bhuiyan received red card.
But the Bangladesh Premier League champions flourished into joy of winning as they were successful to resist the opposition to make any goal.
