DHAKA: All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan became the brand ambassador of Runner Automobiles Limited (RAL) for the second term to campaign for motorcycles of the company.

Shakib signed a 2-year contract with RAL at Kurmitola Golf Club in the city on Saturday evening. Runner Group’s chairman Hafizur Rahman, on behalf of the company, signed the deal with the all-rounder.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Shakib said last two years with RAL was good and next two years will be well too.

He felt fortunate to sign the deal with a Bangladeshi-motorcycle manufacturer company, he added.

Hafizur, in his speech, informed that Runner will bring several new models of motorcycles in 2015.

Runner Group Vice-Chairman M Mozammel Haque and RAL managing director brigadier general (rted) Shafiquzzaman were present at the function.

Bangladesh-based motorcycle manufacturer ‘Runner’ has a total of 16 different models of motorcycles, ranging from 50cc to 150cc. The company gives a 6-year warranty for each bike to its buyers.

Shakib was also the brand ambassador for Runner in past two years.
