DHAKA: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued its fresh ranking in which Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan ceded his number-one position for ODI all-rounders to Sri Lanka's Angelo Mathews.
Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews, has surged to the top of the Reliance ICC ODI Player Rankings for ODI All-rounders for the first time after accumulating 339 runs in the India series.
He scored 139 not out and two half centuries (75 and 92 not out), to finish the series with an average of 113.00 with the bat.
In doing so, he also moved up four places to a career high 10th place in the batting rankings.
Earlier on January 12, Shakib Al Hasan made a record achieving the top spot in Test, ODI (One Day International) and Twenty20 formats at a time.
