DHAKA: Bangladesh cricket team urged the countrymen to keep them in prayers before leaving for Australia on Saturday night to join the World Cup Cricket-2015.
Sources told banglanews that the 15-member Bangladesh squad, led by Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, left Dhaka for Brisbane through an Emirates Airlines flight at 9:05pm.
However, Tigers are going there to spend a two-week long in a bid to acclimatize to the conditions there before the World Cup, sources added. Bangladesh will play two official warm-up matches prior to their World Cup engagement.
According to the schedule, they will take on Pakistan on February 9 and play the second match against Ireland on February 12. Both the matches will be held at Black town Olympic Park Oval in Sydney.
On the other hand, parents and spouses of the national team players along with the fans of Tigers were also present at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to see them off.
Nevertheless, Bangladesh will begin their World Cup campaign on February 18 against Afghanistan at the Manuka Oval at Canberra.
