DHAKA: International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday, in a Board Meeting, decided that the ICC U-19 cricket World Cup 2016 will be held in Bangladesh.
ICC Chairman Narayanaswami Srinivasan, Chief Executive David Richardson, and President Mustafa Kamal attended the meeting.
In its first meeting of 2015, held at the board’s headquarters in Dubai, the cricket governing body fixed the schedule of the ICC events, said icc-cricket.com.
Bangladesh will host the under-19 cricket World Cup from January 22, 2016 to February 14, the website added.
The ICC also laid out its course of events through to 2019 in the meeting.
