England tattering on 116 for 8

DHAKA: New Zealand’s Tim Southee took six wickets, destroying England batting lineup in the teams’ ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Pool A match at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Friday morning.

Till filling of the report, England lost eight wickets to score 116 runs in 30 overs.

New Zealand’s Tim Southee stuck first, sending both English openers - IR Bell and MM Ali--back to the pavilion. TA Boult and DL Vettori also bagged the wickets of GS Balance and EJG Morgan respectively.

Tim Southee stroke again, bagging JWA Taylor, JC Buttler, JCR Woakes and SCJ Broad in a serial.

England’s and JE Root (40) and ST Finn are at the crease now.

Earlier, England won the toss and decided to bat. The match kicked off at 7:00am Bangladesh time. Both sides, however, made no change to their teams.

England began their WC mission by loosing with the tournament co-host Australia.

Another co-host News Zeeland, in their first match, defeated Sri Lanka. Kiwis, in their second match, also won over the Scotland and topped the Pool A point list.
