DHAKA: Chief selector of national cricket team Akram Khan Wednesday resigned from his post for participating in the upcoming election of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Akram Khan confirmed the matter in a press briefing at Mirpur National Cricket Stadium.
Earlier, he was elected as councilor of Chittagong divisional sports and he declared that he was going to fight for the director post of BCB. And that’s why on September 18, he submitted the resign letter.
Akram khan had been discharging duties as BCB chief selector for last five years.
