DHAKA: Nazmul Hasan Papon was elected as the first president of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Saturday.

He has been voted by 24 directors present in the election, where two of the directors were absent during the polls held at the National Sports Council.

Papon was the only president candidate in the election.

In an instant reaction, Papon thanked all who cast vote to elect him.

The lawmaker also urged all in the cricket arena to cooperate with him for serving the country’s cricket.
