Bangladesh hope to cross 400

DHAKA: With a hope to score 400 in first innings, Bangladesh scored 251 runs for six wickets in 68 over on second day of second Test against New Zealand Tuesday.

Till filing the report, Nasir Hossain and Sohag Gazi were on the crease with 19 and 0 run respectively.

Tamim Iqbal, Mominul Haque, Marshal Ayub, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Anamul Haque returned to the pavilion scoring 95, 47, 41, 20, 18 and 7 runs respectively. N Wagner bagged three wickets while Anderson, Wagner and Boult got one wicket each.

On Monday, after the fall of top orders batting line of Bangladesh, rain interrupted push for recovering from the tensed situation.

Bangladesh were forced to make one change, due to Robiul Islam`s injury. Seamer Al-Amin Hossain made his debut in Robiul`s place, becoming the country`s 70th Test player.

New Zealand had included the left-arm fast bowler Neil Wagner in place of the left-arm spinner Bruce Martin.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first in the first innings of Second Test.
