Hearing set to begin Sunday

DHAKA: Anti-corruption tribunal`s preliminary hearing to look into allegations of match-fixing and spot-fixing in the Bangladesh Premier League is scheduled to begin on Sunday.

Justice Mohammad Abdur Rashid, chairman of BCB`s disciplinary panel, has appointed three members to conduct the hearing.

Former Supreme Court judge Khademul Islam Chowdhury will convene the panel that includes Ajmalul Hossain QC and former cricketer Shakil Kasem.

On August 13, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) has got the proof of involvement of nine individuals in match fixing in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) including Mohammad Ashraful.
