DHAKA: A three-wheeler driver was killed following police baton charge Monday night at capital`s Noyatola area.

Ramna Police said they arrested CNG-run three-wheeler driver Babor Ali alias Babu, 40, Monday night from Noyatola.  

“When he was brought to the Ramna police station, he jumped out of the police van in his bid to flee,” a source at the Ramna police said preferring anonymity.

Police chased him, caught and charged baton before he fainted, the source added.

Police took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead at around 12.15am.
