MEHERPUR: Police recovered two powerful bombs at Bhabanipur village under Gangni upazila early Friday.

SI Ganash of Bhabanipur police camp said that on information they raided in the village and recovered the bombs behind the house of one Siraj Ali at around 3 am.

In another incident, some unknown assailants attacked an explosion at a residence of Sindukouta village in the same upazila Thursday night claimed no injuries, police said.

Gangni thana OC Motiur Rahman said that at around 11 am there was an explosion at the house of Atiur Rahman by some unknown assailants.

The bomb attack might have been for extortion, he added.

A General Diary was filed with Gangni thana in connection with the incident today.
