DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited critically injured Faruqe and Suman at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Wednesday morning, as the two lived on to bear the agonies of burns suffered in pre-hartal arson attacks.

The two are undergoing treatment in the Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of the DMCH for the severe burn injuries they received in Maghbazar area when criminals torched a car on the night before Sunday’s opposition-called strike.

Health Minister Dr AFM Ruhal Haque, Health Adviser to the PM Prof Modasser Ali and high officials were also present.

The Prime Minister reached the hospital at about 10:45am and stayed there for about 15 minutes, inquiring about the treatment of the injured. She asked the hospital authorities to ensure better treatment for them.

PM Hasina told journalists, “Those who love the country can never carry out such heinous act. People will soon throw into trash-bin those who want to create anarchy in the country.”
