Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has announced that the curfew will be lifted once the situation normalises.
The exact number of deaths resulting from police firing during the recent violence is still unknown, and no one has come forward to file a case at the police station.
Speaking at a conference room in the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday, the minister provided financial assistance to the families of three police officers and one Ansar member killed in the violence.
"We don't have an accurate count as it is unclear if the protesters removed the bodies themselves. The police are compiling a list of the deceased," said Kamal.
The minister said that those responsible for the violence will not be allowed to regroup. "This attack was well-planned. It is now clear who led the movement."
Regarding the unauthorised protest by Bangladeshi expatriates in Dubai over the quota issue, Kamal said the UAE government will take action as per their laws against the individuals involved in the demonstrations.
"Today, I met with the ambassador of the country. I have asked him to take measures according to their law," he added.
