Members of law enforcement agencies fired sound grenades, tear shells and rubber bullets as a clash between police and students protesting in Sylhet erupted.
The incident happened in Sylhet's Akhalia, Madina Market and Pathantula areas around 3:30 pm on Friday (August 2).
In this incident, half a dozen people were injured including journalists and two children, reports Banglanews correspondent.
However, the students tried resisting them by chucking bricks and stones.
In this incident no casualties has been reported yet.
Earlier, students from different parts of Sylhet started gathering in front of the main gate of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology from from 3 pm, to join the mass march of students called all over the country.
