Four people were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a pickup truck in Malauri area of Tangail's Madhupur upazila on Tuesday (November 19) morning.

Rasel Ahmed, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Madhupur Police Station confimed the matter. 

However, the identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. 

The accident occurred around 5:30am, he said.

A bus from Binimoy Paribahan, travelling from Dhaka, had collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound mini pickup truck coming from Madhupur in front of Malauri Govt Primary School, OC added. 

The driver and helper of the pickup truck died on the spot, he added.

Two critically injured passengers were rushed to Madhupur Hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries, Rasel Ahmed said.
