Chittagong: The police authority withdrew Additional Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Abdul Jalil Mandal to the headquarters in Dhaka Monday.

“The order was issued over a fax message signed by the Deputy Inspector-General (DIG-admin) at about 11 am,” an official said.

Jalil Mandal joined as the Additional Commissioner of CMP in November 2008. He incidentally had to pack his bags a day after the port city was rocked with political violence.
