Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted dry weather with temporary partly cloudy skies across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 AM today.
According to BMD’s bulletin, day and night temperatures may drop slightly across the country, it said in the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 o'clock this morning.
Fog is expected to form in various regions, with moderate to thick fog likely to occur in the northern parts, and light to moderate fog in other areas, particularly from late night until early morning, it added.
The synoptic analysis reveals that a ridge of sub-continental high pressure extends over Bihar and its adjacent areas, while a seasonal low pressure remains over the South Bay, extending its trough up to the Northeast Bay of Bengal.
The BMD also predicted the formation of a low-pressure area over the central parts of the South Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours.
As of Friday, Sitakunda recorded the highest temperature in the country at 31°C, while Badalgachhi in Rajshahi experienced the lowest temperature of 9.9°C.
In Dhaka, the wind speed was reported to be between 5 and 10 km per hour, blowing from the north and northwest. The relative humidity (RH) in Dhaka at 6:00 AM was 73%.
The sun will set in Dhaka today at 5:11 PM, and rise again at 6:29 AM tomorrow.
