Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast that weather may remain dry in the country for the next 24 hours beginning from 9 am today (December 8).
According to BMD’s bulletin, weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country until 9am tomorrow.
A low-pressure area has formed over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining area. Its associated trough extends up to the Northeast Bay.
A Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining areas, it added.
The BMD also predicted that moderate to thick fog may occur at some places over the northern part and light to moderate fog at some places elsewhere over the country from late night to early tomorrow morning.
The country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 30.2 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature today was 10.6 degrees Celsius at Badalgachhi in Rajshahi division.
Night and day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
