7 bodies recovered from anchored vessel in Meghna 

The bodies of seven people were recovered from a stationary vessel named MV Al-Bakhera in the Meghna River, near Harina Ferry Ghat in Chandpur.

The deceased were identified as ship's master Kibria, engine driver is Salauddin, helmsman Aminul Munshi, greasers Sajibul, Azizul, Majedul Islam, another was not indentified. All were from Narail district 

Chandpur River Police Superintendent Syed Mushfiqur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said that the bodies were recovered around 3:15 pm.

The vessel was reportedly anchored when the bodies were recovered, he added.

Members of the Coast Guard and river police are on their way to the site. 

The cause of death could not be confirmed immediately, and an investigation is underway, the officer said.
