Japan has downgraded its travel alert for Bangladesh from Level 2 to Level 1, signaling reduced travel risk for its citizens visiting the country.
The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the change on Friday (Dec 27).
The Level 2 alert had been issued earlier in July and August this year, considering the overall situation in Bangladesh.
Japan uses a four-tier travel alert system, with Level 4 being the highest caution and Level 1 the lowest. Under Level 1, travelers are advised to remain cautious, while Level 2 advises against non-essential travel.
The decision reflects Japan's assessment of improved safety conditions in Bangladesh.
